The outdoor wireless connection solutions we offer are mainly used in the field of private connectivity for the Enterprise market, both as "point-to-point" and as "point-to-multipoint" systems.
The point-to-point system (PTP) is one of the typical wireless connections that initially spread in companies mainly thanks to the liberalization of particular frequencies such as 2.4 Ghz and 5GHz.
In fact, it is possible to connect two remote points distant from a few meters to tens of kilometers using radio technology data transmission systems.
Their main advantage is that they allow data transfer between different locations with significant benefits in terms of transmission speed, reliability and cost reduction.
Point-to-point links (PTP) can create connections from one building to another to allow a connection between the sites even at speeds higher than 800Mbit/s, thus obtaining a significant reduction in fixed costs and a high level of integration between the sites, both from the point of view of the data network (e.g. simultaneous use of management software, document sharing, etc.) and from the point of view of voice (e.g. sharing of data/telephone lines, VoIP systems, zeroing of communication costs between offices, etc.).
Wireless point-to-multipoint (PMP) systems, on the other hand, allow you to connect a central base station to several peripheral subscriber stations, thus being able to provide a series of data transport services without the use of cables. Thanks to point-to-multipoint wireless technology, it is possible to obtain wireless coverage of a large area, with the consequent possibility of being able to support services such as:
- Creating a private data network
- IP video surveillance system
- Parameter monitoring and industrial sensors
- Queue detection systems
- analysis of video behavior (anti-terrorism, public order);
- access control ( license plates, facial closing, etc . in particular areas
The proposed outdoor wireless architecture can be both PTP and PMP and considerable distances can be reached. These solutions provide exceptional reliability and link performance while significantly reducing interference under high RF noise conditions and in near-LoS (nLoS) and non-LoS (NLoS) environments. The small footprint and power over Ethernet help lower operating costs. Installation is quick and easy, thanks to units designed for easy mounting and adjustment even in the tightest of spaces.
